The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is a Department of Defense program designed to protect the Defense Industrial Base and contractors from cyber-attacks, which have become increasingly common. The program aims to ensure contractors can protect controlled unclassified information (CUI) and federal contract information (FCI).
Two Years Running
AXIOTROP has been re-certified by The CYBER AB as a Registered Practitioner Organization (RPO). This accreditation allows AXIOTROP to act as a partner to companies seeking Level 1 and 2 CMMC certification to continue to do business within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).
Moreover, Joe Devine, President of AXIOTROP, is a CMMC Registered Practitioner (RP). As an RP, Joe Devine can provide preparation services to organizations seeking certification. RPs are trained and tested against the CMMC framework levels to obtain their designation.
Why does this matter?
Since 2016 the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) has required companies to protect controlled unclassified information and federal contract information as a requirement for doing business in the DIB.
In 2020 the DOD released details surrounding the CMMC for companies with new requirements including a requirement for a third-party assessment. As an RPO, AXIOTROP can provide CMMC compliance and support to companies impacted by these new regulations and develop their cybersecurity programs.
